Day 1: Avrupa – Istanbul – Antalya

Transfer to hotel and (for enthusiasts) by bus to the center for an evening exploration of Antalya ( walk from Cumhuriyet Meydani via the old harbor and Hadrian's Gate to the Büyüksehir Belediyesi.

Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

Day 2: Antalya-Sagalassos-Burdur-Isparta (220km)

However, we stay in Sagalassos for a whole day. We get specialized explanations at the impressive remains of fountains, markets, thermal baths, public buildings and houses, library, theaters, etc. In between lunch in nearby Aglasun.

In the afternoon we visit the museum of Burdur to see the masterpieces that the Sagalassos campaigns have already produced.

Dinner and overnight in Isparta.

Day 3: Isparta - Antioch ad Pisidiam- to Konya (300 km)

After breakfast depart for Yalvaç-Antiochie ad Pisidiam; (4th century BC – 8th century AD) It was the capital of the Roman and Byzantine province of Pisidia.

The construction works took place in the years 281 - 261 BC, so also after the death of Seleucus. The city had a strategic importance as it was on the border with Phrygia.

The Romans built a temple in honor of Emperor Augustus; this was called the Augusteum.

The apostle Paul arrived in this city in the 1st century AD, as described in the Acts of the Apostles. There was a temporary Christian community.

From the 4th century, with the Edict of Milan, Emperor Constantine I allowed Christianity in the Roman Empire, including in Antioch ad Pisidiam. Saint Paul's Church was built on top of the synagogue of Antioch. At the end of the 4th century, Antioch ad Pisidium was a bishopric, an archbishopric in the 5th century. The Byzantines built other churches in the city.

Esrefoglu Mosque (La Mosquée d'Esrefoglu ), Beyşehir, Konya

Eşrefoğlu Mosque is the only wooden mosque where various decorative techniques of stone, brick, ceramics and painting were used together. It is still a mystery how the wooden parts of the mosque, built in 1299 by Eşrefoğlu Suleyman Bey in 1297-1299, remained intact for more than 700 years. Eşrefoğlu Mosque is known as the largest mosque on wooden pillars.

Day 4: Konya-Sultanhani-Saratli to Cappadocia (240 km)

After breakfast, visit the historical city of Konya.

Dating back to the Hittite period, Konya is also home to the famous Whirling Dervishes and Seljuk culture. The Whirling Dervishes is a true spectacle to see. The white clothes they wear during the dance symbolize their purity.

In Konya you will learn more about the poet and mystic Rumi Sufism, also called Melvana in Turkish. Mevlana's doctrine is characterized by limitless tolerance, positivity, goodness, generosity and awareness through love. For Mevlana and his followers all religions had a grain of truth in them. He viewed Jews, Muslims and Christians in the same way, and his peaceful and tolerant teachings have appealed to people of all faiths. In addition to the spiritual aspect, Mevlana also had an eye for the social aspects of the society of which he was a part. He promoted social equality and intellectual freedom.

Visit the Melvana Museum and the imposing mausoleum. Also make a stop at Alaeddin Mosque, Karatay Medresesi Museum, Ince Minare Museum, which are excellent examples of Turkish-Seldjuk architecture.

Lunch is in Sultanhanı, close to Caravanserai of Sultanhani of Silk road welcome you by his camels, mules.

There are more than 40 underground cities in Cappadocia. They were used as a depot and shelter during the raids of Persians and Arabs. Day 5: Cappadocia

Day 7: Cappadocia to Hacibektas- Kayseri- Ankara (400 km)

After breakfast we drive to the Alevi pilgrimage site of Hacibektas. The city is named after the 13th-century mystic Haci Bektas Veli, who is considered the founder of the Bektashi order. Alevism, Bektashism and Sufism see Ali as the doorway to the mystical knowledge and esoteric interpretation of Islam, as carried to him by Muhammad: Esedullah-Asadullah (Lion of God). About a quarter of the Turkish population is Alevi. Alevism is a branch of Shiite Islam. The emphasis is much less on laws and regulations, but all the more on respect for other people regardless of religion, race, origin and gender. We visit the mausoleum, visit the museum and get to know the soft side of Islam in the Mausoleum of Haci Bektaşi Veli.

After lunch we will visit Atatürk's Mausoleum and nearby museum with its photography exhibition, reminder of the most important moments of his life and of the foundation of the Republic.
