Program Content

After picking up our valued guests in front of İskenderun Ayas Turizm at 23.30, we depart for Midyat - Estel. After having our breakfast specially prepared for us in Midyat, we get historical information about Midyat from our guide and move towards Midyat Guest House (Sıla Mansion). As you walk through the streets of Midyat, which has hosted many TV series, you will feel like you are in a scene from a movie. After completing our trip in Midyat, we follow the Historical Silk Road and reach Dayrulzafaran Monastery, one of the important worship and religious centers of the region. The monastery is a church and one of the important religious centers of the Assyrian Community built in the 5th century. The Virgin Mary Church and the Sun Temple are the important structures of the monastery. There is a historical Syriac bible and sacred stone inside the monastery, and it is said that the first medical school was established here. Mosaics from the period when it was founded still remain in place today. One of the most important features of the monastery, which looks like a living history, is that it contains the graves of 52 Assyrian patriarchs. After completing our trip here, we have lunch. Then we head to Dara Ancient City, which stands out with its interesting architectural structure. This place, where we will be fascinated by its cave houses, tombs, churches, city wall cisterns and underground technocity, known as the "dungeon" among the locals, will remind us of the Ancient City of Ephesus in Selçuk. After getting detailed information and taking pictures with our guide, we first move to Kasımiye Madrasa in the historical city of Mardin, where people can easily express their beliefs and lifestyles in every language. We visit the Madrasa, one of the most important works of stonemasonry, the construction of which started during the Artuqid period and was completed during the Akkoyunlu period. In addition to its architectural beauty and craftsmanship, the beauty of the Mesopotamian Plain will also impress you. We gather at the appointed time and move to the 4* Yay Grand Hotel. Rest and dinner will be at our hotel.

After having breakfast at our hotel, we go to Mardin city center. After the important historical information we will receive from our guide, we continue our way on foot through the historical streets of Mardin. Along the way, we visit the Ulu Mosque, one of the most important historical buildings of Mardin. Then we photograph the PTT building, which has hosted many TV series and movies. If you wish, you can have a panoramic view of the Şehidiye Mosque, located right across from us, and visit the Sakıp Sabancı City Museum, which was previously used as the Cavalry Barracks and was restored by the Sabancı family today, or take a photo and its unique view at your leisure. We reach Göbeklitepe, the first known temple in human history, built approximately twelve thousand years ago. You will be fascinated as you listen to the story of Göbekli Tepe, only a small part of which has been opened and which is considered the pilgrimage center of the neolithic age. . After our trip to Göbekli Tepe, we reach the Urfa Balıklı lake area. Halil-ür Rahman and Rızvaniye Mosques, Balıklı Lake, Ayn-el Zeliha Lake, Hz. Ibrahim Maqam is among the places we will see and visit. Those who wish can taste pistachio coffee at Gümrük Han. After our free time, we do our local shopping and head back with you, our valued guests. On the way back, we review our tour and say goodbye to the beauties you will never forget for years to come.
