We begin our exciting journey from Ayas Turizm in İskenderun at 5:00 am, heading towards Mersin-Erdemli. During the trip, we will enjoy a delightful breakfast and snacks provided in-car treats. Our first destination is the world-famous Heaven-Hell Sinkholes and the mesmerizing Asthma Cave in Erdemli. After a leisurely free time to explore and be captivated by the beauty of the place, we move on to the extraordinary Kanlı Divane Ancient City, dating back to the 3rd century, renowned for its remarkable acoustics, even hosting concerts in modern times. Our guide will enchant us with the captivating history and tales of this ancient site, including the death pit believed to have been used for criminals, rock reliefs, diverse religious structures transformed after the Christian era, the death tower, ancient tombs, and other majestic ruins. Next, we visit the captivating Elausia Sebaste Ancient City and capture unforgettable photos in front of the iconic Kız Kalesi (Maiden's Castle), a symbol of Mersin. For those interested, there's an optional boat trip to Kız Kalesi (additional cost). After savoring the delicious taste of Mersin's famous tantuni for lunch, we continue our journey towards Tarsus. Tarsus is a city intertwined with ruins from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. In Tarsus, we explore the intriguing Yedi Uyurlar Mağarası (Cave of the Seven Sleepers) with fascinating narratives from our guide. We also visit St. Paul's Church, dedicated to Saint Paul, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus, believed to have originated from Tarsus. Other sites to be discovered include the Historical Roman Road, Roman Bath, Kleapotra Gate, Taşkuyu Cave, Taş Kuyu Waterfall, and Roman Tombs. After a day filled with enriching experiences, we begin our return journey. We sincerely thank you for choosing us and bid farewell, looking forward to welcoming you to another unforgettable Ayas Turizm organization in the future.
