Visiting the newly elected Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB) provincial and district managers and travel agencies in some districts in Antalya, TÜRSAB Chairman of the Board Firuz Bağlıkaya said that they evaluated the steps and targets to be taken both this year and the next year with the stakeholders of the sector.

Expressing that tourism activity in Turkey has reached pleasing dimensions and there has been a busy period after the global epidemic, TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya reminded that Turkey hosted 29 million 334 thousand 652 foreign tourists in the January-August period.

Stating that there is little difference to the figures of 2019, which was a record year in terms of tourists and revenues, Bağlıkaya said, "We expect a result that will break the record of 2019 in 2023, thanks to the geographical location of our country, our service and product quality, enterprising travel agencies and tour operators. We foresee a new record in terms of both the number of tourists and foreign currency inflows. We have preparations for 2023, we are preparing an expectation report accordingly." he said.

We will start the early booking campaign in December..

Emphasizing that the domestic market constitutes an important share of tourism, Bağlıkaya stated that they are also working on domestic tourists. Stating that domestic tourists gained significant advantages from the early booking campaign they carried out last year, Bağlıkaya continued his words as follows: "Last year, hotel prices increased significantly due to the fluctuation in foreign currency, but our citizens who made early reservations were able to enjoy their holidays without paying any additional fees. We recommend the same again this year. "We will start the early reservation campaign with our agencies at the Travel Turkey Fair in Izmir in December. If you want to have a holiday at an affordable price, at the desired place, on the desired date in domestic tourism, you should definitely take advantage of early reservation. The capacity for this will emerge after the interval."
